Medical Transportation
Our Berkshire community is fortunate to have Berkshire Red Cross' special Medical Transportation program, which is not a standard service provided by other Red Cross chapters in the country.
Berkshire Red Cross volunteer drivers provide transportation to medical appointments within and outside Berkshire County including physicians offices in Boston, Albany, Worcester and Springfield. A team of twenty-five drivers volunteer their time behind the wheel of one of our five Red Cross vehicles. All of our transportation services are for medical necessities such as dialysis treatments, chemotherapy, radiation and other outpatient treatments.
