The Berkshire Red Cross and the
Berkshire AIDS Coalition has
joined forces to raise funds and
awareness in our county. The 10k
walk will begin at the Common off
First Street. Health fair and Barbeque
to follow! Check in begins at 11.
ADDITIONAL Berkshire County AIDS Walk information:
Volunteers needed for first aid coverage during the Berkshire County AIDS Walk on Sunday, September 12th. Walkers step off at noon and are expected to return between 1 and 2 p.m., depending on their stamina and speed. We will have an ambulance on stand-by, but we really need people for the injuries that are more likely to occur, ie: heat exhaustion (depending on the weather), extreme fatigue, blisters, sun burn, etc.
People of all ages (including a number of children) will be walking and we want to make sure we have all the bases covered as far as safety. If you would like to help out that day, please contact Pat Wood at 442-1506. I will send more information as well as a map of the route at your request.
