WRGB's Mary Beth Wenger, Channel 6 News and Ryan Peterson, Capital News 9 to Co-Host Red Cross Fashion Show
Mary Beth Wenger from WRGB Channel 6 News is the Co-Emcee for the Berkshire County Red Cross Fashion Show "Stars in Style" along with Ryan Peterson from Capital News 9.
Mary Beth joined WRGB Channel 6 News in 1981 as a reporter. She now focuses her reporting on Berkshire County. She started her career as a reporter/weekend anchor in Lafayette, Indiana. Mary Beth quickly became the anchor of both the 6 and 11 pm newscast before leaving to join CBS 6. She is a native of Saugerties, New York.
Ryan joined Capital News 9 on the ground floor in 2002 and helped launch the region's first ever 24 hour local news channel as chief of the Berkshire County bureau. Ryan began his career working on such shows as Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live and NBC Nightly News. He is a native of Pittsfield, graduating from Pittsfield High School.
The fashion show, "Stars in Style", will be held on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 7:30 pm at The Crowne Plaza, Grand Ballroom. There will be a silent auction and cocktails and hors d'oeuvres starting at 6 pm. We invite all to join us for the evening and view the celebrity models and wonderful fashions. Mayor James Roberto will be the official usher for the evening, and models include civic leader, major business leaders, and community leaders and celebrities throughout Berkshire County. Stores participating are The Children's Place, The Cottage, Deidre's, Evviva, Groom's Choice & Bridal Gallery, Jonathan Reed, Ltd, Mary Shea Knight, Talbots, and Steven Valenti, Inc. Tickets can be purchased for $20 each (children under ten are free), at Zucchini's Restaurant, The Holiday Inn in North Adams, or by calling the Berkshire Red Cross at 413-442-1506, ext. 13. They can also be purchased at the door of the Crowne Plaza Ballroom that evening starting at 6 pm.
