Red Cross Schedules CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Course
The Berkshire County Chapter of the American Red Cross has scheduled a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer course from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. on February 12 & 13, 2004. The course will be held at 480 West Street in Pittsfield. The volunteer instructors will be Debbie Frost and Chuck Najimy.

Participants will learn the role of the professional rescuer in the EMS system; understand the Emergency Action Principles when providing emergency care for a victim; learn how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies; and learn how to use an automated external defibrillator.
The cost of the course is $75.00 per person and includes a textbook, all course materials and a pocket mask. Preregistration is required, as class size is limited. To register or for more information contact the Red Cross at (413) 442-1506 or 1-800-332-2030.
